Latest Announced New Positions University Of Sindh

The University of Sindh, Jamshoro, is offering exciting career opportunities for experts and consultants to join their prestigious marine research projects titled ‘Established of Oceanographic Survey Unit: Climate Change, Freshwater Scarcity, and Pollution Impact Assessments on Geomorphology, Mangrove, Fisheries, and wildlife in Coastal and Marine Waters of District Thatta“. This project is funded by the Petroleum Marine Development Committee (PMDC), Thatta, and aims to study the impact of climate change and pollution on marine ecosystems in the region.

Available Positions:

• Marine Fisheries Expert
  
  • Qualifications : M. Phil/ Ph.D in Freshwater Biology and Fisheries Marine Biology, or Marine Science.
    
  • Responsibilities: Conduct research on marine fisheries, marine mammal , turtles, cetaceans, coral diversity, and biodiversity conversation.
    
• Geologist/Oceanographic Expert
  
  • Qualifications: M.PHIL/Ph.D in Geology.
    
  • Responsibilities: Research on sediment characterization, coastal erosion, and groundwater instruction in marine habitats.
    
• Mangrove Specialist
  
  • Qualifications: M.Phil/Ph.D in freshwater biology and fisheries.
    
  • Responsibilities: Research on mangrove conversation, mudflat identification for plantation, and preparation of mangrove cultivation manuals.
    
• Coastal GIS and Environment Expert
  
  • Qualifications: M.Phil/Ph.D in Agriculture Science, Environmental Engineering, Geography, r Geology.
    
  • Responsibilities: Conduct GIS modeling and remote sensing studies to assess the impacts of climate change and freshwater scarcity on coastal ecosystems.
    
• Research Fellow
  
  • Qualifications: Enrolled in M.Phil/PhD program in freshwater biology and fisheries, marine biology, or marine science.
    
  • Responsibilities: Support research activities focused on biodiversity, fisheries conversation, and water quality in coastal region.
    
• Field Assistant/Helper
  
  • Qualifications: Literate.
    
  • Responsibilities: Assist in conducting various research studies in the marine and coastal environment.
