As part of its forward-looking strategy, NBP is seeking experienced and driven professionals to strengthen its Retail Banking division through the following position:
Position: Branch Manager (AVP)
Reporting Line: Regional Head
Location: Karachi
Qualification Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (local or foreign) recognized by HEC.
- Master’s degree holders from HEC-recognized institutions will be preferred.
Experience
- At least 5 years of branch banking experience.
- Must include either 2 years as Branch Manager, or 3 years as Branch Operations/Relationship Manager or a similar role.
- Women Branch Managers currently on a career break (not exceeding 3 years) are highly encouraged to apply.
Essential Skills & Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of retail banking products (both Conventional and Islamic/Aitemaad).
- Familiarity with SBP regulations, AML/CFT policies, compliance, and audit procedures.
- Strong leadership and branch management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and customer service orientation.
- Goal-driven, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple responsibilities.
- Proficiency in branch operations, business planning, performance evaluation, team development, and customer retention strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall operations and business development of the branch.
- Drive deposit growth and ensure delivery of KPIs through acquisition of new clients and deepening of existing relationships.
- Promote and market the bank’s full range of products.
- Ensure top-tier service delivery and implement feedback systems to enhance customer experience.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, SOPs, and regulatory frameworks.
- Provide leadership for staff development, performance reviews, and succession planning.
- Implement strategies to control costs, mitigate risks, and expand market presence.
- Ensure adherence to Shariah principles at Islamic Banking Windows (IBWs).
- Support audit readiness and address audit findings effectively.
Employment Terms
- Contract duration: Three years, renewable at management discretion.
- Compensation: Market-competitive package per Bank policy.
