As Deputy Director, you won’t be sitting behind a desk. You’ll be on the ground and in command, reporting directly to the Director (Operations) and managing one of the most impactful portfolios within SMTA. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Fleet Management Mastery: Oversee the day-to-day performance of the bus fleet and develop actionable KPIs to enhance efficiency.
- Data Intelligence: Monitor real-time stats at the command center to uncover patterns, prevent issues, and boost operational decision-making.
- Technical Oversight: Provide mechanical and fleet management insights to maintain top-notch service delivery.
- Service Quality Assurance: Enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and make sure the buses and depots meet rigorous maintenance and performance benchmarks.
- Strategic Task Execution: Tackle new initiatives and evolving challenges as assigned by leadership.
🎓 Who Should Apply?

- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline (HEC-recognized).
- At least 7 years of professional experience, ideally in urban transport operations, BRT systems, contract and fleet management.
- Strong command of data-driven decision-making and operational best practices.

- Higher degrees or foreign qualifications in public transport systems, BRT operations, or fleet logistics.
- Experience with service optimization, urban planning, or transit tech platforms.
