Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a recognized Master degree in one of the following fields:
- Hospital Management
- Health Services Management
- Business Management
- Public Health
- Public Administration
- Other relevant management disciplines
- Candidates with a recognized medical degree supplemented by management qualifications and experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification managements experience in a comparable organization or institution. Exceptional candidates may have this requirement relaxed by the Board of Governors.
Skills:
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Project management expertise
- Effective time management and team-building skills
- Capability to manage high-pressure situations
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all non-clinical hospital functions
- Develop annual budgets and business plans for approval
- Manage Infrastructure maintenance and engineering services
- Supervise ancillary services such as pharmacy, HR, materials management, communications, and secuirty.
- Implement Board policies and achieve set goals
- Serve as the Principal Accounting Officer, ensuring financial transparency and discipline
Contract Terms
- Duration: Initial 5 year contract, extendable for up to two additional 5 years terms at the Board disrection.
- Conditions: Non- practicing positions, with no conflict of interest allowed.
