The Planning and Development Department of the Government of Sindh is seeking qualified professionals for two important positions aimed at strengthening the department capacity. These roles will focus on enhancing policy planning , development strategies, and managing key projects related to water resources and Information technology. Successful candidates will play a crucial role in overseeing foreign aid, processing development schemes, and ensuring effective projects implementation.

Available Positions:

1. Member (Water)
   
   • Key Responsibilities:
     
   • provide technical guidance on water sector issue such as irrigation and drinking water.
     
   • Develop sectoral plans for both short-term and long term water projects
     
   • Process and manage water related development projects at the PDWP, CDWP, and ECNEC levels.
     
   • Oversee projects completion reports and coordinate the timely release of funds.
     
   • work closely with federal ministries and provincial departments to implement water related policies and plans.
     
   • Qualifications: candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, ideally in Water Resources Engineering and Management (WREM) with a minimum of 6 years of experience in the relevant field. Alternatively, a Master degree in Civil Engineering (Preferably WREM) with a least 10 years of experience is also acceptable.
     
2. Member (Information Technology)
   
   • Qualifications: Applicants should posses a Ph.D. in Information Technology or Computer Science with 6 years of experience, or a Master degree in IT or Computer Science with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
     
   • Key Responsibilities:
     
   • Design IT development plans for both short term and long term objectives.
     
   • Offer technical support for IT-related development schemes and their approval processes.
     
   • Evaluate and process IT development projects at various government levels.
     
   • Oversee the department data managements and IT infrastructure, ensuring effective automation and operation f the data center.
     
   • Collaborate with other government departments to ensure smooth implementation of IT related projects.
